Overseas Relocation
Whether for personal or business reasons, Cactus has been providing language training to relocation clients since 2003, both prior to relocation and upon arrival in their new location. We have done this for incoming clients to the UK, outgoing clients from the UK to Asia, the Middle East and Europe, and for relocations from Europe to Asia.
This has included extensive work with destination service experts Sterling Relocation and Primacy Relocation. We are also the preferred supplier of foreign language training to Royal Bank of Scotland, Coutts & Co, and Diageo executives and their spouses prior to and upon relocation overseas.
The aim of these language courses is to enable participants to be able to communicate effectively in the language of their international assignment host country. Communication would be with customers, clients and colleagues, but learning the local language would also have a positive impact on their personal/domestic life. An increasing number of clients are now choosing to integrate an element of cultural training into their language programs.
In de-mystifying the host country culture and preparing assignees and their families for life in their new home, language and cultural training has proven to dramatically increase the chances of assignment success and transferee adjustment and satisfaction.
