Cross Cultural Training
Our Cultural Training packages are designed to give you the knowledge and tools to live and work across different cultures. This can be necessary for relocation, in order to work closely with companies from other countries, or so that you can work successfully in a multi-cultural team.
Programmes are designed to the specific needs of participants, and can be run on a 1:1 or small group basis. They can last from ½ day to 2 days.
Typical modules will include:
- Developing cultural awareness
- Dealing with culture shock
- Working in a new environment
- Different ways of doing business
- Cross-cultural team building
- Country profiling.
Undertaking specific cultural training will ultimately provide you with:
- An understanding of what you bring to any conversation across different cultures
- An understanding of what creates cultural resistance
- An ability to ask the right questions in and of a different culture
- An understanding of your target destination’s core values
- An understanding of key differentials between you and your target destination culture – business, time, hierarchy, family, etc.

The programme will include a mix of language and culture. A typical course will include 40 hours of Language Training and 4 hours of Cultural Training. This is designed to take you up a level of language as defined by the Council of Europe’s Common European Framework of Language, and at the same time to empower you to instinctively develop co-operative rather than resistant relationships with any person, or group, from your target cultural environment.
Not only this, but as a student, you will also receive a more complete understanding of the target language, how it works within a cross-cultural setting, and how you can use it both appropriately and effectively.
