Celebrate the coming of spring in Munich

Every year this beautiful Bavarian city plays host to an annual celebration of spring, making it a perfect April destination.
From 16 Apr - 2 May 2025 the Frühlingsfest (Spring Festival) spans Munich’s Theresienwiese (the meadow where Oktoberfest takes place) with treats for all the senses. Beer tents, live music and over 100 fairground rides are all on offer for the two-week festivities.
The festival is perfect for beer-lovers, but has a distinctly family-friendly atmosphere and as such welcomes people of all age groups, from far and wide. It is a great alternative for anyone who finds the Oktoberfest too overrun with tourists, and too crowded in general.
It is a great event for getting you in the mood for summer and the long, warm evenings that it brings and will give you ample opportunity practise your German!
