Paris in the Spring

Let’s face it, Paris is pretty special no matter what time of the year you go, but spring-time in the city really is quite magical.

The allure of the city in this season specifically has long been acknowledged, and has inspired film and song alike.

Perhaps it is down to the newly-green trees that line the city’s boulevards in spring. Maybe it’s the bustle that fills the streets after the hibernation brought about by post-Christmas money saving and cold weather. Whatever the explanation for the seasonal accolade, there are plenty of other reasons why it’s good to go to Paris in the spring.

Firstly, it doesn’t tend to be over-run with tourists. With so many fantastic attractions to see, it seems a shame to waste hours standing in long entrance queues, which is sometimes the case during the summer months.

Secondly, the price of flights and accommodation should be less expensive. March and April are normally still classified as ‘low season’ and should escape the summer price hikes.

Thirdly, it is perfect for people-watching! With no blaring sun on your face, and a nice gentle temperature all around, you can find a spot on the cafe terrace and watch the world go by to your heart’s content.

Just a few of Paris’ must-see and do’s, irrespective of the time of year, include the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, Montmartre and the Sacre Coeur ,Notre Dame and a boat trip on the River Seine. Whether you’re there for three days or three weeks, you’ll never be short of things to keep you entertained.
