Don’t miss the flamboyant Brighton Fringe Festival in May
Tuesday, 6th April 2010

It's not just the sunshine that's bringing people to the seaside this May - festival fever is hitting Brighton!
As can be expected of the culturally-abundant and quirky seaside city of Brighton, this year’s Brighton Fringe Festival promises to be bigger and better than ever. It is the largest and fastest-growing open access arts festival in the world, attracting diverse and unique acts in the form of music, dance, theatre, comedy, cabaret, film, visual arts and more – all of which aim to stimulate, educate and entertain their audience.
Taking place this year between 30th April and 31st May, Brighton Fringe Festival runs in tandem with Brighton Festival – the difference being that anyone can put on an event in the Fringe Festival, while Brighton Festival is a series of curated, programmed events. All in all this means that Brighton will be the place to be during May - a buzzing and colourful city, streets bustling with people, parades and acts, and an extensive list of events (both free and payable) for all to enjoy.
If you’re coming to Brighton to learn English, make sure you book your tickets to the Fringe Festival well in advance – otherwise simply make yourself comfortable in one of Brighton’s parks and soak up the party atmosphere and (fingers crossed) warm Spring days.
