Cactus Language Teacher Awards 2013

We are very pleased to announce the first ever winner of the Cactus Teacher Awards. Here at Cactus Language we felt it important to host the Teacher Awards to show our teachers that they are valued and appreciated by both us and their students. We also wanted to showcase what an amazing job our teachers do of tutoring students in their chosen foreign language.
We launched the Teacher Awards for our first academic term of 2013 - running from January until March – and we are thrilled that it has been a great success, with over fifty inspiring and wonderful comments submitted by students about their teacher to the Teacher Awards Facebook page.
We asked students to submit comments on why they thought their teacher was the most amazing. We received many fantastic comments about our teachers, covering a range of languages from Spanish to Hindi and from many different school locations across the UK and US.
So, without further ado, the winner of our very first Teacher Awards is Rhian Riley who took Spanish Beginner 2 at our Cardiff language school with native speaker Maria de la Luz Arenas Alonso. Congratulations Rhian!
We were unanimous in our decision that Rhian’s comment should win. Rhian is delighted with her winning prize of a FREE 10 week language course with Cactus and Maria has won a £100 voucher of her choice.
We had so many fantastic comments submitted to the Teacher Awards that we also chose three runners up who were:
Lucy Hockley, who took Italian Beginner 3 at one of our London schools with Angela Puddu;
Steve Cook, who took French Beginner 2 in Manchester with Tani Bitrus, and
Peter Baran, who took Spanish Upper Intermediate at one of our London language schools with Amalia Trujillo.
We would like to say a massive thank you to all of our students who submitted comments and we look forward to viewing your comments for next term’s Teacher Awards!
