Avoid Victoria station disruption: Cactus opens and expands 3 new centres in London
Friday, 18th March 2011

Current disruption at London’s Victoria station, while the escalators are being renovated ahead of the 2012 Olympics, has meant that passengers have been advised to use alternative stations where possible.
In light of this, Cactus has opened and expanded three new centres offering language courses nearby, each of which offer excellent facilities and are accessible via alternative stations:
1. Westminster
• 5 minutes’ walk from St James’ Park and Westminster tube stations
• Modern, high quality training rooms with air conditioning and still/sparkling water available to students

• Located within a six-storey, grade II listed period building (whose impressive lift centre-piece was used in the Bond film ‘Diamonds are Forever’)

Those wanting to find out more about the situation at Victoria station can visit the Transport for London website. Essential work to the station’s 42-year-old escalators began at the end of January 2011 and is expected to be completed in time for the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. In the meantime, there may be delays of up to 15 minutes to access platforms at Victoria during busy periods. Victoria is one of London’s busiest stations and if passengers can use an alternative station, such as those listed for the above three centres, it is recommended that they do so.
Cactus offers part-tome and intensive courses in 24 languages and 31 locations across London. We also offer language courses in a further 17 UK locations. Please visit our www.languagecoursesuk.co.uk website for full details.
