Case Study - 2 Weeks of Russian in Edinburgh & St Petersburg

IT consultant working with the UK's Department of Trade of Industry (DTI)

Requirement:

To learn Survival Russian within 2 weeks before the client would commence a 2 month Moscow project.

Solution:

One week of Intensive Training (30 hours) in the UK to give the client confidence before arriving in Russia - Edinburgh was suggested to enable the client to escape from his normal routine in London. All training, hotels and train travel were arranged by Cactus. An end-of-course report (in Russian and English) was then forwarded by us to the trainer in St Petersburg in advance of the second week.

One week of Intensive Training (25 hours) and cultural activities in St Petersburg to give the client confidence before arriving in Moscow (St Petersburg is a smaller and more hospitable city than Moscow for the newcomer to Russia). All training, hotels, excursions (city tour and theatre visit), insurance and air and train travel were arranged by Cactus.
