Great Wall of China

Just 2 minutes browsing the photos is a powerful visual comment on the Republic of China, and what it stands for past and present.

Just seen these amazing photos of the Great Wall of China on the Gadling website: http://www.gadling.com/photos/the-real-and-forbidden-great-wall/619825/ and recommend you take a look.

Just 2 minutes browsing the photos is a powerful visual comment on the Republic of China, and what it stands for past and present.

The link above is to one particular photo that I enjoyed. The whole impossibility of putting a wall where this particular bit of wall was built is astounding. You can’t help but hear the voices behind orders bring barked out in Chinese, through the mist..."yes, that’s right, stick it on that rock there - I don’t care how hard or impossible it looks, just do it”. Just the scale of the whole things speaks of China’s power, absence of choice, obligation, control, discipline, conviction.
