Summer is a time when some lucky ones among us are planning a gap year. Whether you're planning a big trip after college, taking a career break or celebrating retirement, we have some courses that may make the world of difference to your time out.
You don't have to get on a plane for linguistic adventure, however. Grab the popcorn and settle down to an evening of foreign language movies: we give you practical tips on how to learn a language through movies, and list the best new French movies out this summer.
And, finally, no recommendation is better than a first-hand review. One Cactus employee becomes the leading lady in her own French movie as she learns the language of love, while another gives us an honest account of her evening German courses in New York City.
