Language tasters a Brighton Festival hit!
Posted by Lucy under Cactus Languages Abroad
The Cactus team successfully hosted round two of its language taster evenings at St Giles college last night. A variety of festival-goers from across Brighton turned out to join in the fun and try-out a new language for the very first time.
With the sangria and rose flowing, as well as authentic tortilla cooked by Eva, our guests soon got into the swing of things and were keen to try-out their new language skills. Our very own Richard Bradford joined-in the Italian class which was a particular hit, with Grazia teaching her pupils to flirt effectively in her native language!
Thanks again to all the teachers, Antonio and all at St Giles for helping to make the evenings so much fun. We’ll be hosting more events towards the end of the year so watch this space!

Just want to say I really enjoyed my Italian Taster lesson with Grazia. She’s great. What was interesting for me was that I used to teach English - but that’s 10 years ago now, and I found the methodology has really moved on since I took my CELTA course in 1993.
Sometimes it appears that only English teaching benefits from the very sharp, dynamic methodology, and that other languages lag behind. Not so with Cactus it appears.
