A place to work
A place to have fun
But little do we know
The truth about London
Its Tube is the world’s oldest
Its river the country’s longest
Its airport the world’s busiest
Its big wheel Europe’s tallest
Big Ben is not a tower
It’s a bell of 13 tons
The Palace is a former brothel
Now guarded by men with guns
The ghost of Mad King George
Keeps Windsor Castle haunted
No less than four World Heritage sites
Deserve to be more flaunted
The Great Fire was a disaster
That tried to wipe London out
But it didn’t stop the plants
That in Kew Garden sprout
Over 100 theatres to visit
Be dazzled, be wowed, bravo
Then treat yourself to dinner
So many places to go
Speak Chinese, speak French
Speak whatever you see fit
Over 300 languages
Yet still English rules - innit.
